It is a love story: the young Vietnamese girl Kim (Vanessa Heinz) and the American GI Chris (Oedo Kuipers) meet each other in Vienna. Their fate is presented with gripping music, an imposing production, extravagant choreography, a set packed with effects, and breathtaking stage technology. The dramatic landing of ahelicopter on an open stage is one of the most impressive images of the musical story.

The original producer, Cameron Mackintosh, is the most successful musical producer in the world (Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, Mary Poppins, Les Misérables, and others). Together with Alain Boublil (book & lyrics) and Claude-Michel Schönberg (music), he created an extraordinary musical masterpiece that has been thrilling people all over the world for three decades.
