This Baroque jewel with its magnificent showrooms, palm house, Gloriette and zoo is one of Europe's most beautiful Baroque palaces and was the Habsburgs' favourite summer residence. Emperor Franz Joseph, who married Empress Sisi, was born here in 1830. Today, the palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its historical significance and magnificent furnishings and is a highlight for visitors to Vienna.
